I'll be leaving NYC for New Orleans January 13th, just in time for Mardi Gras and staying thru for the N.O. Jazz & Heritage Festival. I'll be coming back to New York roughly June 1st. I can't wait to get back to my second home. I think it was the great Tennessee Williams who once said, "New Orleans is the only city that ever loved me back" and I couldn't agree with him more. Great food, great music, and great people. See you all soon!
And for all my friends living outside of New Orleans and Louisiana, please come down and visit and help support and help rebuild this great city. She still needs our help!

As some of you might know I played drums in the band THE THROBS from 1988-1991. In 1991, Geffen Records released our album "The Language of Thieves & Vagabonds". Soon after its release the band was dropped from Geffen. Now 15 years later the album is being re-released.
ROCK CANDY RECORDS (the label formed by former Kerrang journalist Dante Bonutto and Derek Oliver) plans to re-release THE THROBS 1991 (Bob Ezrin / Dick Wagner produced) Geffen Records release. THE LANGUAGE OF THIEVES & VAGABONDS by the end of 2006. The new release will be remastered from original sources by Jon Astley (The Who, Eric Clapton, and Judas Priest etc.) and contain a 16 page, full color booklet with original & enhanced artwork, in additional to: photography, clipping, memorabilia & 4,000 word essays about the making of the album, by noted U.K. journalist Paul Elliott.
The Throbs (Ronnie Sweetheart – Vocals, Roger Ericson – Guitar,
Danny Nordahl – Bass, Ronnie Magri – Drums) once hyped as, “…the next and best thing since Guns & Roses, Appetite for Destruction…” found themselves in the unusual situation of being dropped from Geffen Records, exactly six months to the day the album was released.

UPDATE!!!! Just wanted to let everyone know i've been informed the release date is now August 2007 at which time RC Records will re-release The Throbs debut record along with the Sea Hags self titled debut and Zodiac Mindwarp’s debut. Pretty Cool and worth the wait.
